According to our information, Mr. Wynne Jones was retired from the Hongkong Government service in 1948 and is now in this country. I am writing to you in particular in the first place to know whether you think anything can be done to recover some at least, if not all, of the money due to the Company. I would say that, having regard to the circumstances in which the money was advanced, we would not be unduly harsh in pressing for repayment of the whole amount in one sum. If representations can be made to this gentleman we would be perfectly happy to receive payment in instalments.
